Hows your money doing? Part 2

When I last left you underdogs were running rampant, with the only decent team playing well being Germany.

Tonga with Netherlands: Looking at the Netherlands performance there's a bit of a mixed response: Yes they got the victory, but it was by no means pretty and certainly not up to the Dutch's potential ability.

Max with Brazil: Brazil had a painful dog fight with North Korea who put up a decent effort, refusing to be broken down and frustrating Brazil at times.

Ben with Spain: Of course everyone's favorites to lift the trophy, Spain are making headlines today but not for any respectable reasons as they were undone by some vigilant defending and a scrappy goal against Switzerland.

There's a resounding theme that I'm picking up: Big teams (excluding Germany who were helped by a weak Australia) are not breaking through the underdogs defense. Many a football fan regard this as "Boring defensive play" but sod that! There's nothing wrong with a weaker team putting all their eggs in the defensive basket and staving out 90 minutes of attack after attack by a stronger team. If this stronger team can't break down the weaker teams with their superior players, tactics and training then Kudos to the weak team.
